The Lordship Pub Wedding Photography | Christine Constantine Photography

The Lordship Pub Wedding

I’ve shot at Lordship Lane’s The Lordship Pub a couple of times this summer and it is fast becoming one of my favourite wedding venues! The pub so refelects my personality as a wedding photographer.

Situated on vibrant Lordship Lane in East Dulwich, The Lordship Pub is a charming blend of old-school London pub with a few contemporary touches. Unlike traditional wedding venues, a pub wedding at The Lordship offers a more unique and memorable space. The relaxed vibe, coupled with the stylish setting, makes it a standout choice for those couples wishing to break from the norm AND have fab wedding photography. Win win!

The Ceremony Space

The Lordship Pub boasts its very own ceremony space too - a rustic barn at the back of the pub. Small and atmospheric it can only be lit by candlelight. As a wedding photographer I love getting the chance to shoot in these wonderfully unique spaces..

Overall having a Lordship Pub wedding allows you to combine ceremony and reception in a charming south London neigbourhood. Hosting your wedding here allows you and your guests to emabrace the character of the area and support your friendly local pub. Get in touch about YOUR wedding photography today..

Suzanna and Hussan's Wedding Photography | The Ritzy Cinema | Brixton

Brixton’s Ritzy Cinema: A Unique Wedding Photoshoot Location

The Ritzy Picturehouse, or Ritzy Cinema as it is know to Brixton’s locals, is a Grade II listed building and an iconic setting for your Brixton wedding photography/wedding photoshoot. If you step insides you can see the blend of old world charm and modern design. Ritzy Cinema hosts many community events and as such has held a place of cultural significance in Brixton for many years. I can’t imagine your Brixton wedding photography would be complete without it!!

Following their wedding at Lambeth Town Hall, newly-married Suzanna and Hussan asked Brixton Wedding Photographer Christine Constantine to grab some snaps outside the Rizty Picturehouse in Brixton.

The couple had met for their first ever date outside the Ritzy Cinema several years earlier, and so it was only apt to have some of their Brixton wedding photography outside. The Ritzy Picturehouse proved its ever endearing popularity by paying tribute to the newly-weds by putting a special message on their board.. Check out some of my favourite wedding images here..

Marrying in Brixton?

Whether you hire the whole cinema for your wedding or just opt for your wedding photography outside, The Ritzy Cinema is an amazing choice for those couples wishing to capture the essence of Brixton in their wedding photography.

As a Brixton wedding photographer I have shot at Lambeth Town Hall many times, so know some cool places if you wanted some more pics after your ceremony. Check out more of my wedding photography here..

Caroline and Goncalo's Wedding Photography | Holy Ghost Catholic Church | Balham

Caroline and Goncalo’s epic Balham wedding began at much-loved Catholic Church Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Nightingale Square, Balham. As a wedding photographer local to Balham it was a joy to shoot a wedding so close to home! The day began with sunny skies and a warm welcome was waiting for me and the wedding guests when we arrived..

The Asylum Chapel Wedding Photography

After learning about The Asylum Chapel and its history and unique backdrop for wedding photography, I was super-thrilled to be asked to be Jessica and Richard’s asylum chapel wedding photographer.

The Asylum Chapel, situated a short walk away from Peckham’s Queens Road Overground, is a breathtaking example of a wedding venue with stained glass windows, a high Georgian ceiling and a crumbling facade. For couples looking for a truly unique intimate and atmospheric location for their wedding and wedding photography this is the one for you!

History of The Asylum Chapel

Despite its name, The Asylum Chapel was not an actual psychiatric facility. Back in its day the word ‘asylum’ actually meant ‘sanctuary’ and was a home for elderly retired pub landllords. More like an almhouse which were important places for those Georgian and Victorian eldery who’s only alternative was the street.

The Asylum Chapel was established around 1827 and had many benefactors, whose memorials are still there, visible to this day. Despite being heavily bombed during the second world war, the carvings and glass stained windows survive to this day and The Asylum Chapel after some refurbishments, had been granted Grade II status.

And thanks to Maverick Projects the asylum chapel is available for events, art projects and weddings.

As I said, a wedding photographer’s dream! Here are some of my favourite images..

Hampton Court Wedding Photography - Aisling and Anthony

Hampton Court is a wonderful place to marry and also to arrange your wedding photography. I’m a natural wedding photographer and I’m in love with the historic features on offer in just one small area.

If you are looking to have your wedding photography in Hampton Court here are a few options you have:

The Mitre Hotel, Hampton Court

The Mitre Hotel situated just minutes walk from Hampton Court train station, is a gorgeous river-side hotel and wedding venue. Steeped in history and abosolutely fabulous for your wedding photography. The terrace overlooking the Thames is elegantly decorated with many plants and olive trees, giving it a very warm, mediterranean feel. There are also steps to go down onto the riverside with room for further seating for your wedding reception or event.

Hiring a boat?

Aisling and Anthony hired a boat to continue their champagne reception, and it made for some super-cute wedding photography. If you’re having a river-side wedding its well worth considering this little touch.

Check out these images I took of awesome Aisling and Anthony walking away from The Mitre and over Hampton Court Bridge..

Hampton Court Palace Weddings

If you’re a fan of romantic weddings with courtyards, gardens and sweeping staircases then Hampton Courth Palace could be the venue for you. There are four historic areas within the Palace to hold your wedding: Little banqueting House, The Garden Room, The Great Hall and the Orangery.

Morden Park House Wedding Photography

I’ve been a wedding photographer since forever but only this year did I venture down to popular register office Morden Park House. I was immediately struck how suddenly I felt I was out of London and in the countryside! The house is also an amazing and very beautiful Georgian manor house, built in 1770 by John Ewart. Just look at these grounds! A perfect backdrop for your wedding photography..

Morden Park House Gazebo

Selection of wedding photography images from Morden Park House Register Office.

Morden Park House has three main ceremony rooms - The Lord Nelson, The Ewart and The Sheridan Rooms; and of course the stunning Victorian-inspired gazebo in their garden for summer weddings. The venue itself houses Merton Register Office.

The Sheridan Room

At the front of Morden Park House, actually facing the park, you’ll find the popular Sheridan Room. Beautifully decorated with large french windows and bathed in natural light, you will LOVE it. And as a wedding photographer I love it too!!

If you’re looking for something a little more light, airy and natural from your wedding photographer that’s what I do! I’m a bit more documentary than most - but also like to give my clients classic wedding photography they can look at for many years to come.

Christine is an AMAZING wedding photographer. We’d give 10 stars if we could. I don’t like getting my photo taken nor do I like most photos of me, so I knew it was a pretty tall ask for effortlessly flattering candid photos that really captured the essence of the day yet didn’t require us to waste valuable hours of our wedding posing for pictures...I don’t know how Christine did it, but she did exactly that and then some
