My Top 20 Bat Mitzvah Party Photographs | Christine Constantine Photography

I’ve shot several Bat Mitzvah parties in central London now and can I just say they are AWESOME!! As well as feeling honoured to be part of a girl and her family’s special day I absolutely LOVE being a Bat Mitzvah Party Photographer and capturing all the fun and excitement. To give you a glimpse into this unique and wonderfully fun celebration here are my absolute top 20 photos of 2023..

What is a Bat Mitzvah and why is it so important?

A Bat Mitzvah is a coming of age ceremony in Judaism, held at the family’s synagogue. It is a symbolic moment in a young girls life ( A ‘Bar Mitzvah’ being the male equivalent) occuring at the age of 12 or 13. It is more than just a rite-of-passage. It is an important milestone for the child and for the family. It is the moment that they become Jewish adults. From now on they are responsible for their own actions and can decide for themselves how they would like to practice Judaism

Are you looking for a Bat Mitzvah Party Photographer?

Christine Constantine Photography (that’s me lol) has been around for over ten years. I have shot Weddings, Christenings, Bat and Bar Mitzvahs and generally any celebration of any kind. I ADORE shooting events and quietly and unobtrusively watch and capture all the moments happening around me. I shoot a mixture of posed and candid/more natural photography. Images that captures the vibe at the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and that the whole family will LOVE.

If you’re throwing a Bat Mitzvah or Bar Mitzvah and looking for a documentary photographer why not get in touch and we can arrange a chat :-)

Kelly and Finn Wedding Photography | Chelsea Old Town Hall | Chelsea | London

As a Chelsea Old Town Hall wedding photographer I get to shoot often at this gorgeous little registry office on fashionable Kings Road. Chelsea Old Town Hall is a newly refurbished Grade II listed Victorian building and is a popular choice for couples looking to marry in style..

Kelly and Finn are an adorable couple and brought with them just a handful of their closest friends and family in what proved to be a happy union in the June sunshine. Candid and natural wedding photography was favoured by my couple and these are my favourite wedding images from the day..

Lisa and Ennis' River Thames Wedding Photography | Christine Constantine Photography | London

After a limited lockdown wedding, Lisa and Ennis decided to have another wedding for their friends and family once restrictions were over. And what better place than a wedding on a Bateaux London River Thames Cruise!! And with me as their wedding photographer! Guests met at The Pier Bar and Lounge on London’s Embankment before getting onto the boat.

Violins greeted them as they embarked and took their seats for a very special and unique wedding..

Once their vows had been exchanged guests broke into singing Queen’s “Dont Stop Me Now”. A truly amazing experience!!

Then it was time to celebrate!

But not before the ‘confetti’ (i.e. bubbles) and some group shots!

Of course we just HAD to make the most of the exceptional location for the couple’s photoshoot..

Followed by those all-important wedding speeches..

Lisa had a few words to say too!

Church of St Lazarus | Larnaca Wedding Photography | St Lazarus Church | Larnaca | Cyprus

Tammi and Demi live in Larnaca, Cyprus and always loved the historic St Lazarus Church so it was there they wanted to shoot their wedding photography. The Church of Saint Lazarus (Agios Lazarus) is located in the center of the historic town of Larnaca. It is an important centre of Christian pilgrimage, as the remains of Saint Lazarus, were found at this place in the late 9th century. Its tranquil and holy atmosphere make it a popular choice for local couples to marry or Christen their children.

Jenny and James Wedding Photography | Chelsea Old Town Hall | RAC | London

Jenny and James leaving Chelsea Old Town Hall.

Jenny and James’ Chelsea Wedding took place when covid restrictions still dictated 15 persons maximum in attendance. That didn’t stop this microwedding from going ahead, however, and undeterred the couple decided to have a big party next year and keep their May date intimate and just for family.

It always amazes me how shooting in London can turn up the unexpected. Just down the road I found an awesome backdrop for the first of my images. This summer The Ivy are opening their Chelsea branch of their successful chain ASIA and I thought the builders screen made for a cool backdrop.

The Ceremony - Chelsea Old Town Hall

Chelsea Town Hall is a municipal building on the fashionable Kings Road in Chelsea and has hosted several high-profile weddings over the years. The oldest part of the building is Grade ll listed and the building has been refurbished and returned to its former glory. Jenny and James exchanged their vows in the beautiful light and airy Cadogan Suite. As expected guests were required to wear face coverings but luckily the couple were not. A simple yet elegant ceremony as one would expect in such a beautiful venue.

After the ceremony we walked through St James’ park and found some lovely spots along the way! It was extra special for James as it is the way he walks to work in the mornings and had always dreamed of having some pictures taken there with his new wife Jenny.

RAC Pall Mall, London

After posing for a quick picture out side the RAC we went inside to greet their family and I took some pictures of the table decorations and flowers, beautifully presented by the talented team at the RAC. The rain held off and everything was PERFECT. A beautiful ending to a lovely day.
