York House

Megan and Rob's Wedding Photography | York House | Twickenham

Megan and Rob chose York House in Twickenham to tie the knot. York House is a stunning example of 17th century architecture, steeped in history and charm. Situated in the heart of Twickenham, York House is easily accessible for guests coming from London (with a direct train from Waterloo) or elsewhere in the country.

York House currently serves as the Town Hall of the London Borough of Richmond and Thames. It is situated on Richmond Road, near the centre of Twickenham, close to St Mary’s Church.. It is a Grade II listed building situated in a large park, which is also listed.

York House is licensed for civil ceremonies and also houses several function rooms, so you can have both your wedding and reception in the same place.

The grounds feature beautiful landscaped gardens, including the famous Italian Fountain Statues, which make a perfect backdrop for your wedding photography.

It is always a joy as a wedding photographer to step outside from the ceremony room to find a lush, well-maintained stunning garden. Perfect to follow the wedding with group shots and a couple’s photoshoot.

Megan and Rob opted for the Terrace Room in York House. The Terrace Room is an elegant room with French windows land as the name suggests, leads directly out onto the Terrace and gardens. It is licensed to accommodate 40 seated guests and 10 standing guests (wedding ceremony only).

It was onto The Anglers Arms in Teddington after their wedding ceremony. After a quick pic down next to the river we went back inside to join friends and family for drinks and cake and more super- relaxed, natural wedding photography..
