As residents of Nicosia may or may not know, Kykkos Park or Metochi Kykkou is a little hidden paradise in the bustling streets of Nicosia. Metochi Kykkou (which means Monastery Dependent) lies next to the Monastery of the same name and can be located opposite the European University.

As it is so beautifully looked after by the church, it is a perfect place for your wedding photography, or any kind of post-Christening photoshoot or family photoshoot. Here are some of my favourite images from the park..

I knew from the first moment I met Oriana and Marios I wanted to be their wedding photographer. One of the coolest couples with the most amazing friends and family I knew it was going to be an amazing day. The Stolisma took place at their respective parents houses (as is tradition with Cypriot weddings) followed by their union at the historic Archaggelou Michael Church in Nicosia.

Overlooking the sea with a lovely grassed area for outdoor events or just to let the kids play on it is a popular choice with foreigners as it is with the locals especially Nicosians - who are looking for that beach vibe event. I’ve been a go-to wedding photographer for British couples looking for their dream Cyprus beach wedding for many years now. Not all beach weddings are created equal however, but these weddings are literally on the beach! St Georges Beach is a pretty remote beach near Peyia on the Western side of Cyprus, near Paphos, it has some stunning views of the sea and makes it a popular choice for brides and grooms looking for their perfect elopement or micro-wedding by the sea.

The Grecian Park Hotel overlooking Cape Greco in Protaras is one of my favourite and oldest wedding venues on the island of Cyprus. I’ve been a wedding photographer at the Grecian Park Hotel since the very early days of landing in Cyprus way back in 2009. A warm reception and several glorious areas overlooking the Mediterranean sea, you can see just why this is a favourite amongst foreigners and locals alike. The Grecian Park Hotel can cater for smaller micro-weddings or large weddings of up to several hundred people They do weddings and Christenings and the idyllic natural beauty spot of Cape Greco is on your doorstep so you don’t need to go far for those all-important post-wedding photographs.
