I LOVE shooting weddings and Christenings at Penera Beach Hotel. Overlooking the sea with a lovely grassed area for outdoor events or just to let the kids play on it is a popular choice with foreigners as it is with the locals especially Nicosians - who are looking for that beach vibe event. I’ve been a go-to wedding photographer for British couples looking for their dream Cyprus beach wedding for many years now. Not all beach weddings are created equal however, but these weddings are literally on the beach! St Georges Beach is a pretty remote beach near Peyia on the Western side of Cyprus, near Paphos, it has some stunning views of the sea and makes it a popular choice for brides and grooms looking for their perfect elopement or micro-wedding by the sea.
The Grecian Park Hotel overlooking Cape Greco in Protaras is one of my favourite and oldest wedding venues on the island of Cyprus. I’ve been a wedding photographer at the Grecian Park Hotel since the very early days of landing in Cyprus way back in 2009. A warm reception and several glorious areas overlooking the Mediterranean sea, you can see just why this is a favourite amongst foreigners and locals alike. The Grecian Park Hotel can cater for smaller micro-weddings or large weddings of up to several hundred people They do weddings and Christenings and the idyllic natural beauty spot of Cape Greco is on your doorstep so you don’t need to go far for those all-important post-wedding photographs. Asked to come back to the house and shoot part two of the celebrations? Just TRY and keep me away. The couples’ house once again looked absolutely STUNNING and it was amazing to see so many familiar faces - old friends, aquatances and clients I’ve met over the years. The entertainment was out of this world and it didn’t take long for everyone to be up dancing and having an awesome time. What an incredible evening and soooooo much fun! I have known Claire for some years. She was one of the first people I met upon my arrival in Cyprus back in 2009. I have always known her as a warm, vibrant individual who cared deeply about her close family and friends and I was of course over the moon when she asked me to be her wedding photographer. It was talking with her over the phone during 2020 that I noticed the biggest change in her. I can honestly say I had never heard this lady so happy and joyful. Udi coming into her life certainly sparked something, and that was something very clear to see. Weddings are always joyous occasions but the weekend that I flew back to Cyprus to shoot their wedding and be an integral part of their celebrations, were for me something more than that. As I am unable to put what I saw and how I felt into words I shall as always let my images do the talking. I am so totally happy beyond words for Claire and Udi, and wish them a very long lifetime of happiness.
